Brooks, Charlie and I began the adoption journey a year and a half ago. Adoption has always held a special place in our hearts, and we knew that it is God's plan for us. Even before Brooks and I entered the world of infertility, adoption was talked about often as we planned for the future. We were blessed with an adopted niece 7 years ago and knew when she was born that God had a similar plan for our family. God blessed us with a miracle almost 3 years ago. We started the adoption process after Charlie turned 1. So many ask how we chose this path to domestic adoption, and my answer is always, this is the path God chose for our family. It is definitely not an easy journey, and there have been many ups and downs, but we know that this is how we are going to grow as a family. We know that God has a bigger plan, and we are waiting patiently for our baby. Since we have started this journey to our baby, we have felt so much comfort and hope even during the hardest times. Brooks and I have also been so humbled by all the love and support we have from friends, family, and strangers as we "wait" on our precious baby. We are so blessed that God chose our family to follow this path to adoption.
