We are going BOLD!!

Brooks and I have been so blessed with our "adoption crosses".   We made 120 one September weekend not knowing if they would all even sell. We weren't expecting the outpouring of love that we have received. We have sold over 700 adoption crosses!! That means that at least 700 people have heard our story.  You have SHARED our story!! Adopting domestically is challenging. We started the process 18 months ago.  Well, that's not true. We began waiting for our angel 18 months ago. We began the process 24 LONG months ago. Thankfully, God has blessed us with patience. At times it is hard, but after 4 years of infertility and being blessed with our first miracle, Charlie, we were very ready to place all of our faith in adoption. We knew the road would be long and hard, and I can say that each day has made us stronger and more anxious:) We know that God has the perfect plan for our family!
So, as we patiently await our next miracle, I am keeping myself busy painting and creating. Below are our new adoption crosses. BOLD!! We hope these hot colors will continue to help us spread the word and in turn possibly find our birthmother.

My amazing friend, Ashley Glover from Joyful Expressions, has donated a beautiful Chevron frame to help us during our adoption journey.  We are going to have a raffle and will draw on February 2nd.  LOCAL DELIVERY or PICKUP ONLY (birmigham area). The frame holds a 16x20 picture and the outside measurements are 30x34.  It is taupe and cream and retails for $200. Did I say it is BEAUTIFUL? I secretly want to just keep it:)  Again thank you so much, Ashley! You are such a blessing!

Adoption Crosses

Brooks and I created our adoption crosses to help spread the word about our adoption. Each cross is handmade by us using burlap and reclaimed metal barn roofing. The large are wall hangings and are 6x11 inches. Each cross has a card with our story on the back. The purchase of these crosses will hopefully get us closer to our baby! Brooks, Charlie and I began the adoption journey a year and a half ago. Adoption has always held a special place in our hearts, and we knew that it is God's plan for us.  Even before Brooks and I entered the world of infertility, adoption was talked about often as we planned for the future.  We were blessed with an adopted niece 7 years ago and knew when she was born that God had a similar plan for our family.  God blessed us with a miracle almost 3 years ago.  We started the adoption process after Charlie turned 1.  So many ask how we chose this path to domestic adoption, and my answer is always, this is the path God chose for our family.  It is definitely not an easy journey, and there have been many ups and downs, but we know that this is how we are going to grow as a family.  We know that God has a bigger plan, and we are waiting patiently for our baby.  Since we have started this journey to our baby, we have felt so much comfort and hope even during the hardest times.  Brooks and I have also been so humbled by all the love and support we have from friends, family, and strangers as we "wait" on our precious baby. We are so blessed that God chose our family to follow this path to adoption. 

To help us with our journey, Brooks and I created a cross ornament and wall hanging.  We hope that these crosses will spread the word about our family.  We would love for our crosses to lead us to a birthmother and our baby!  We are selling small ornament crosses for $10 each and the larger wall hanging for $20.  Each cross has our story with contact information attached for you to share.  Through our crosses and cards, we are hoping to grow our family!
